Entering Audreys, Foxhall designed, crafted and fitted kitchen for the first time you cannot help but be impressed by how warm and welcoming it feels, how much at the heart of the home it truly is.
The large contemporary sash windows allow tons of light in to illuminate the whole space, glancing off the pristine Belfast sink, giving a glint and a sparkle that creates a sense of pure wonder.
This kitchen is filled with some beautiful features which we worked hard with Audrey to achieve. As with all of our Kitchen Designs, it was imperative to us that we were able to get to know and understand exactly what Audrey and her family wished and hoped for, for their space. Partnering with Audrey we used only the best materials and finishes to create a calm, tranquil environment, which wonderfully combined the practical with the pretty.
The whole room revolves around a beautiful free standing island with seating at one end and boasts tons of storage spaces, discreetly concealed behind panelled doors, finished with solid teak knobs. Like the rest of the kitchen the island is finished in ‘Blue Grey’ by Farrow and Ball, a hard wearing furniture paint, and is crowned with a majestic solid teak worktop.
A hand crafted large canopy overmantle elegantly rises over the exquisite SMEG range, which makes the cooking area a great place to prepare loving family meals. More storage was created with the inclusion of a sizeable walk in pantry with shop front style glass cupboards at the front.
As well as a place for food storage and preparation the space also encapsulated an entry point into the home from the outside world. Again combining function and aesthetic, a beautiful coat hanging and boot storage space was designed to ensure that all that should not be seen, is kept hidden.
